Staybridge Suites Philadelphia Valley Forge 422, an IHG Hotel

Fantastic customer service. Super nice staff with maybe the exception of the night staff at front desk. Very clean and well stocked rooms. A bit pricey and parking lot needs some attention but other than that, no issues. Breakfast lady also works very hard to keep dining area clean and Breakfast stocked up. Thankyou.

Pros: The room- large, mostly clean, provided coffee, plates, pots, refrigerator and microwave. Larry at the front desk was friendly and personable. Coffee(even though wasn’t the best) is offered all day. Breakfast is offered- cereals, waffles, eggs, etc… Offer dove products within the room. Cons- The hallway carpet was definitely not vacuumed for a few days. Lack of support from the evening front desk. The smell of smoke when you first walk in makes it feel like a smokers hotel. The heater was an adventure. When it worked it worked. Made the room warm almost instantly. But when it got up to temperature, the air continued to come out but it was cold. The unit never stopped producing air which caused a constant battle to keep the room warm.

Enjoyed this location. The style felt a bit aged but it fits the historic/nostalgic area so not a negative point. Suites are large and would be great for a long term stay. Everything was clean and quiet. Free breakfast and dinner were good.

Pros: The property was clean, and the full breakfast offered each morning was a great start to the day. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, they even provide dinner, which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a hotel, and the air conditioning was wonderfully cold. Cons: The room had an odd odor, which we eventually got used to, and the bathroom door had a couple of broken areas. The noise from children running above us was quite disruptive, but the hotel staff addressed the issue promptly. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, although a few seemed bothered by our questions. Overall, we highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay!

I was greatly impressed by the room as I was staying overnight due to an impending snowstorm. It had a fridge, freezer, two stove burners-made me feel I was in a mini-apartment. Easy access to and from room and the Outback Steakhouse, walking distance from the hotel, was good. My only suggestion that I would make would be to clean the area right when you enter. I think I saw a couple tipped over things and just footmarks from outside.

Wonderful stay! Staff was extremely kind and personable. Room was very clean, well stocked, comfortable bed and great toiletries. Breakfast had a nice variety of fresh options. Would definitely stay again and will recommend Staybridge Suites to family and friends.

The front desk people are excellent, breakfast was a much better spread than most places, and free laundry can’t really be beat. Also the bed was comfortable. The lady handling breakfast while I was here was also very pleasant. Cons: The non front desk staff are not polite. I’ve greeted multiple of them who’ve looked at me dead in the face and said nothing. The body wash in my shower was empty (how hard could it be to check) and even though I put in a request it was never refilled. I did observe front desk making the note to housekeeping so I’m going to assume it was them. Finally and more of a neutral point, the place is dated. The decor could use some serious updating however it’s comfortable and personally the most important things for me are the comfort of the bed, cold AC & a clean room which I did have but it is note pleasing to the eye at all. The star I docked is honestly mostly because every member of staff here is in the SERVICE industry regardless of position and good customer SERVICE is part of the job. We all have our rough days but most of them here do not seem to care about that part.

We stayed one week and were so impressed by the staff friendliness, old-fashioned hospitality, and the daily cleaning of all common areas. Sure, this is an older hotel, so the furniture shows a little aging…but if you appreciate clean crisp bedding, a comfortable living area, a pool and grilling patio, free use of laundry machines, and a friendly and responsive staff, then stay here!!!! Front staff moved mountains to please with my questions and requests. Mike and Giselle run the kitchen with a smile. Breakfast is wonderful with many choices. Most impressive was their free delicious dinner nights offered to guests. Quality Plus! Thank you to all who work there. You make that hotel a pleasant place to stay.
